American Tower Corporation (ATC) has extended warm congratulations to the Director-General (DG) of the National Communications Authority (NCA), commending the Authority for its continued objectivity and fairness in regulatory matters.

This was during a high-level delegation visit to the Director General of the NCA, Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko. The delegation led by Marek Busfy, ATC Africa CEO, noted that its interactions with the regulator have significantly improved in recent times which is fostering a more transparent and collaborative environment.

ATC seized the opportunity to also report key challenges pertaining rental costs for tower sites which are impacting their operations and long-term planning. To address this and deepen its investment in the country, the company stated that it is investing in compact, multi-tenant towers designed to enhance cost efficiency, aesthetics, and sustainable network expansion across Ghana.

Rev. Ing. Fianko acknowledged the company’s challenges and reaffirmed the NCA’s commitment to ensuring strengthened collaboration with all stakeholders in the telecoms industry.

The delegation also included Ashtutosh Singh – ATC Ghana CEO, Nasreen Sooliman – African Chief of Staff, Deean Fontaine – Senior Director, Public Affairs and Regulatory Africa, Enid Kanor – Head of Legal, Ghana and Akua Twumasi – Manager Public Affairs, Ghana.
